About Matthew Klippenstein

Matthew Klippenstein is a professional engineer, plug-in electric vehicle enthusiast, and member of the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association. In his role with a leading renewable energy consultancy, he evaluates the wind energy potential of prospective wind farms. A fourteen-year veteran of the fuel cell industry, he was part of Ballard Power Systems' micro-CHP product team which won the American Electrochemical Society New Technology Award in 2007, and co-authored the company's white paper on the future of electricity ("electron-democracy") for a McKinsey & Company essay series to which Steven Chu and Andy Grove also contributed. A GreenCarReports correspondent since 2013, Matthew has provided Canadian electric vehicle commentary for television and radio in English and French. He co-hosts the CleantechTalk podcast, and tweets from @EclecticLip.
