If there is a charging station at every rest stop, then the 200-300 mile at half an hr charge time is ideal, but as it is, not every state is jumping on the bandwagon on adopting charge station, at least not right away. But until they do, the 500 miles charge rate will do for the time being. Me personally, I would buy the 500 mile charge car no matter what. I think they should allow for options as previous posters also suggested.
