I managed 600 miles in an Alfa 147 diesel on a trip to Cornwall and back in the UK 6 years ago. Smaller tank, similar efficiency. Not hard.

Merry Christmas one and all at Green Car Reports. Thank you for a year's worth of information and entertainment. I wasn't a green car driver when I entered 2012 but I leave it greener than most.
I hope you get all you wish for, even if you wish for the stars!

There is precisely one and only reasonable use case for this and I doubt it is suitable.
Only if you can fill an entire parking lot such that no matter where you park, you get charged then it has some use.
Anyone who has owned a plug in car for 3 days knows how completely irrelevant the act of plugging in is.

An inversion of the US statistics for lease versus buy: interesting indeed. Possibly a vindication of Better Place's business model of leasing the battery (and similar model for Renault in Europe).

My Renault Fluence ZE has a full radiator and cooling system from the petrol version. It has the radiator coolant tanks yet nothing ever gets even remotely hot enough. I think it spins up the fan from time to time just to stop spiders living there. The bonnet of the car is cool to the touch after more than 1 hour driving at motorway speeds in the summer in Israel.
There are air filters for the ventilation system I believe.

Through my blog and test rides I've sold cars. It works.

Big numbers for a small car. Fluence is not slow with 85kW so this will be pretty quick with 100kW. Sounds like the battery is even bigger too.
