Wow John787, everyone can understand that you are a die hard chevy fan, although I am the opposite. But I won't scrutinize based off the fact just because I abhore GM. The 2011 mustang doesn't have independent suspension and still beat the Camaro (whilst having 14 or so horsepower less).. I think you don't understand pros and cons of suspension types. From a strip racing perspective I would rather have (and I'm pretty sure a lot of pro NHRA racers as well) a solid or live rear axle. It's stiffer and stronger, allowing for better launches and higher torque outputs. But, for track use, an independant would be a lot better. However, the mustang still beat it. Only false impressions Ford has given is underrating a lot of their engines.
