well, an eBeetle is no-where the same as a mid-size focus- so you think the prius and leaf is better looking than the focus? I'd think you would want one of those over the fusion since you're an ebettle fan- check out vw's consumer report ratings.. The good thing is there are alternatives on the market for varying opinions! What do you think about the Tesla?

'ow lafaye' Have you not compared the 2010 hybrid Fusion & 2011 vs the same camry hybrid? Compare those numbers... Yes, I realize that Ford's nick name of fix or repair daily was true in the past- consumer reports has very high marks on the fusion and the fusion hybrid which is a shocker for an american car.. 2012 camry beats (depending on model you get) city mpg 2012 fusion hybrid- but the 2013 will kick camry's tail- not to mention the far from exciting 2012 camry looks..and camry doesn't even offer a plugin version or at least they haven't discussed it publicly.

What is the shaking/rattling sounding noise from? Seems pretty cool for a 1st bmw electric.

I do agree on the honda...I drove my mom's for about 50 miles- mixed hwy/city and managed over 50mpg in the Winter with some hills! But, it did drive me a little crazy driving so slow. She regularly has over 50mpg in the summer- though lives on the coast where it is flat & hwy around 60mph.
