Commented On: 800 Number On Blink Electric-Car Charging Stations? Useless, Don't Bother

I have a 100% electric Nissan LEAF. The Ecotality (Blink)car charger in my home garage works just fine. As do the five, carport solar-powered Blink EVSE's at Greenlife Grocery (owned by Whole Foods) here in Chattanooga. Yes, you have to swipe the RFID card. Works every time. The only problem I have with the Blink QC units at our Cracker Barrel, involves the neanderthals who park their '78 Buick or Hummer in the charging space.
Just remember, no American soldier has ever died fighting for electricity.

I chuckle at the reports of the Volt being a failure. What about that other Chevy flop--the Corvette? It's been around for almost 60 years, and GM only sold a little over 13,000 units in 2011. The Corvette is pricey, too, but it sure has its fans.

Commented On: Nissan Leaf Electric Car Relegates Gas Cars To The Garage, Nissan Says

I absolutely LOVE my Nissan LEAF 100% electric car. Over 3,100 happy miles, and I haven't once been stranded with no charge left in the battery. You buy and drive the thing knowing it's limitations--which are very few. I'm 64 years old, and this is the most comfortable, responsive, eco-friendly and just plain fun-to-drive car I have ever owned. Every friend or neighbor who has driven my LEAF is blown away with the pick-up, absence of noise, and the great handling. I put about 34 miles on the car each weekday. It is my primary vehicle. "My other car has gas"--and it hasn't been out of the garage in three weeks.
