Richard, you are right, we did not make it clear in our press release that the Houston site has 56 charging ports. We will issue an update.

In the meantime, to spur on the banter, here is a photo of the Houston site taken the day the installation completed: http://gridbot.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=161&Itemid=397

Each blue light represents an available charger and each green light shows charging in progress. 56 total

Great! I am thrilled to hear of Google's pioneering of EV infrastructure.

To be clear for readers that are interested, the Houston site has 56 GRIDbot charging ports, capable of charging 56 EV simultaneously.

The recent GRIDbot.net press release states that this site has 28 UP100J dual charging posts. Each can charge one EV on Level-2 and one EV on Level-1 at the same time. To our knowledge, this is the largest single-site EV charging site. (IE: collection of EVSE in a row, at one service location, all connected to one transformer as opposed to spread out through a town, campus, parking lot, or business development)
