Any serious, well informed, and fair environmentalist knows that replacing coal burning with natural gas is job one for improving air quality around the world. Coal pollutants include particulates, mercury, sulfuric acid, nitrogen oxides, etc. It is responsible for millions of early deaths yearly. Natural gas is the cleanest fuel there is, aside from hydrogen. It is the cheapest, and the most abundant.
Producing and using natural gas is the best solution for base power, in conjunction with solar, wind, geothermal etc. There is plenty of natural gas all around the world, and it can be accessed with new and future technology.
http://www.worldwatch.org/sy The main concern for environmentalists worldwide should be to cut the use of coal, es

How many years would it take to save me as much money as my $10,000 Aveo? That is the problem. I look at cost to value. That is why I promote CNG as the solution, but only for people who drive a lot, or drive large vehicles, otherwise it is not worthwhile unless you convert your vehicle or buy used.

Here is some more information. You have not addressed the more important pollution concerns that I mentioned. Would appreciate your thoughts on those.

I can't find it right now but another study just released disputes the findings cited in this article.
Natural gas , more importantly, reduces particulates, mercury, and sulfur. Sulfur creats acid rain. Base power requires coal, nuclear, or natural gas. Take your pick. Mine is clean burning, inexpensive natural gas. It is the rational choice for base power.
Natural gas is the future of energy. It is replacing dirty old coal plants, and dangerous expensive nuclear plants. It will fuel cars, trucks, vans, buses, locomotives, aircraft, ships, tractors, air conditioners, engines of all kinds. It costs far less. It will help keep us out of more useless wars, where we shed our blood and money. It is used to make many products. It lowers CO

Car manufacturers should be pushing a bill to exempt natural gas cars from the mpg requirements. Then they can build CNG cars that are cleaner and cheaper to run.
Natural gas is the future of energy. It is replacing dirty, dangerous, expensive coal and nuclear plants. It is producing the electricity for electric cars. It will directly fuel cars, pickup trucks, vans, buses, long haul trucks, dump trucks, locomotives, aircraft, ships etc. It will help keep us out of more useless wars, where we shed our blood and money. It lowers CO2 emissions. Over 2,100 natural gas story links on my blog. An annotated bibliography. The big picture of natural gas. https://www.ronwagnersrants.blogspot.com

Not enough information. How about interior space and MPG?

If I needed a small car I would go for it, if there was no other large fee involved. Especially if I drove a lot locally, but had another car for trips.
