Considering the costs of cars today, this is a bargain. Chevy fans are lucky that they can get into one and still pay for food and electricity.

John, I don't believe these particular comments are "over the top". I am an admitted and committed Chrysler loyalist, but fact is the new 300 is a very refined and top shelf vehicle that missed "Car of the Year" designation by one point and only because the shift handle took some getting use to (true)and the 8 speed ZF automatic was available in only the V-6 (now rectified). As an owner of a 2012 300 with the V-6 nothing I have said is without merit.
A close look at the new product Grand Cherokee, Cherokee and Dart attests to the validity of the statement IMO. I'll strive though to keep my Chrysler comments as laudable as possible. Would you expect less from MoPar Willy?

There can be little doubt that Chrysler Group, under Fiat guidance and vision, is being refined into world class products. There is no doubt the process has borne fruit and is accelerating. The 300 started life as a pretty darn good vehicle, but the refreshed styling and engineering improvements have made it a competitive automobile against the best domestics and many imports. The fact that Fiat has committed a number of it's future vehicles and Chrysler Group vehicles to a modernized and highly refined version of this Chrysler/Mercedes platform bodes well for future 300s. The diesel is one more step in the Chrysler 300 journey to best in class, global status.

Actually the Challenger has been ranked first in it's market segment for build quality and is a recommended car in Consumers. I put little credibility in these surveys anyway as data is unreliable as are the respondents.

My son just traded his 2010 BMW5 series on a 2013 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic and he loves it, and so do I. The Challenger is tens of thousands less than the BMW but offers comparable performance without the BMW twin turbos and amenities, much more exciting style and better mechanical reliability than the troubled BMW. The ride and comfort are the best in the muscle car segment and the retro style makes it stand out in a crowd.
This problem with the V-6 Challengers is a blow to Dodge which is beginning to shake lingering doubts about build quality. Who ever in the factory went with the decision to "quick fix" this supplier sourced problem should be disciplined or transferred , if not fired. These cars should have never reached the publi

I am a long time Jeep owner and I have every confidence that Jeep will produce a mid-size SUV that will meet or exceed all past Jeep offerings in this segment. I'm an advocate of the new Cherokee, and the bold, exciting styling and engineering changes Jeep has made. I believe that the adoption of available Fiat resources into the crossover market was inevitable for Chrysler and that few are aware of the Fiat experience in this market, especially in heavy duty/commercial applications. Driven by the Jeep mandate to make the best off road vehicle in every class in which they compete, the Jeep team has taken the fundamentals of the Fiat platform and together with Fiat experts, have delivered a best in class, modern vehicle for the 2014 market.

Excellent job. Bodes well for Maserati and the Chrysler brand too which will reap the residuals of this vehicle and the upcoming Maserati mid size by sharing technology and developmental costs.

Jeep, the golden egg laying goose of Chrysler. The gift that keeps on giving. With deals like this in Latin America, India and China you can count potental future total Jeep sales globally in the MILLIONS. Chrysler/Fiat knows a winner.one that keeps on giving golden eggs, obviously.

There has already been a torrent of negative comments on the new Corvette. It's edgy, almost comic book appearance, might not measure up to the smooth, flowing, functional beauty of the SRT Viper on a first take, but let's give it time to soak in first. Let's face it, compaired to the ungainly last generation, it's much more balanced and distinctive. I'm sure the performance will be right up there with the Viper and the comparisons sure to be made between the two as to which one is the best American sports car, will improve both and excite the Chevy and MoPar crowd.
I'm sure this Corvette will have some negitive detractors, but just think how great it is to have the chance to actually choose between two fantastic cars, Viper and Vette.

These are important vehicles for Jeep, make no mistake. They bring the Jeep nameplate to an significant market segment, they give Jeep a vehicle with tremendous global sales potential and they are a way for aspiring Jeep fans, who like the rugged look but are urban dwellers or financially not yet in the position to get a Grand Cherokee, to drive a real Jeep.
This significant improvement to these Jeeps will solidify Jeep in this segment, provid evidence that Jeep can make quick. short term changes to improve the product, further build a loyal nameplate following, and pave the way for the next generation Jeeps now in development with Fiat influence.
It's true these Jeeps are important now and for the future.
