Xiaolong, I agree. Of all the French brands that have disappeared from the U.S. market, it's Peugeot that I miss the most.

Xiaolong, I can tell you from experience that keeping the Prius Plug-In in electric mode, even without the heat on, takes delicate throttle inputs, akin to driving a Dodge Viper in the rain. With slick tires. On greasy pavement.
It's possible, but challenging and not entirely recommended in traffic.

Jonathon, the Mustang's seat's are adjustable. How much depends upon the model, package and seat chosen.

CDspeed, I wonder how necessary a Midwest tech center is, too. Once the Atlantic is launched, I agree it makes sense for future car development, but I fail to see how this will speed the car's time to market.

Xialong, I'm thinking it's too close to a production design from BMW to write it off completely. If enough people say "yes, please," I'd expect BMW to give it serious consideration.

CDspeed, this is just a guess, but I'd say very close on the outside. As for the interior, I'd think it's a bit too radical to see production.

Jake, I've driven the similar Ford Explorer with the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, and it doesn't produce the kind of power that most luxury buyers expect. I can understand why it's not the standard engine in the MKT but Lincoln has already done the engineering work for fleet customers, so why not make it optional?

Paul, it likely comes down to production cost and a strong Japanese yen against a weak US dollar. To make a profit, Subaru would need to charge an absurd price for the S206 in the United States.

That's a very good question, and I'm sure that the state kicks in a generous amount.
When Kodak and Xerox were faltering, Rochester, New York literally paid companies to relocate there. They were even more generous if the companies built new facilities.

CDSpeed, it begs the question of how much cash will be spent to open the new tech center, instead of using it all to produce the new Atlantic.
Don't forget that Fisker Karmas are essentially hand-built in low volumes; until its economy of scale changes, it will remain at or near the current price.
