About George Parrott
George is a life-long car fan, and his first car was a two year old 1960 Renault Dauphine. Graduating to a American Motors Rambler Classic for graduate school (M.A., Ph.D. in Experimental Cognitive Psychology from Michigan State) and leaving E. Lansing in 1969 with a new special ordered Olds 442, he found American cars too poorly built and over the next 35 years owned Toyotas, Hondas (3 CRX and a Prelude), BMW,Mazda, Audi, VW, Acura and most recently a Toyota Prius (2006) and Camry Hybrid (2007). Currently his two car family drives a 2011 Nissan Leaf and a 2011 Chevrolet Volt that are powered by his solar photovoltaic equipped home power system. Both Parrott and his biochemist researcher wife are dedicated travelers logging over 50,000 air miles a year including past trips to the NYC International Auto Show and the Tokyo International Auto Show.
