They better; it's stunning!! Hopefully they'll change the name to something less awkward than "Estoque". Then, all they'll have to do is produce the 2006 Miura concept as-is and my Lamborghini concept dream garage will be complete!

I disagree with the first sentence in the article. I'd say Lexus is an example of a "mid-level" luxury brand that went on to compete with Mercedes and BMW. Likewise, Audi wasn't considered a serious rival to them until the '90s. Indeed, BMW was once the maker of lowly Isettas and the 600, a rival to VW. It takes time to build a brands image and reputation. That said, a Chinese owned Volvo competing with the S-Klasse and 7er sounds faintly ridiculous. Then again, that's what people were saying about Toyota in 1989.

Agree with TnTPhilly, a reborn Silvia is a wonderful thought, but the rumors have been swirling since the S15s demise. If they do build it, I'd imagine a lighter version of the 370Zs platform would be more logical than the expense of designing an all new platform. As much as I like the new Megane, a FWD French coupe/hatch would not be suitable and would alienate their entire customer base. They should also call it Silvia for all markets. It's a much more evocative name, and it's well known in the US. Heck, I've never been into tuner cars or drifting, but I know how legendary the Silvia name is among the drift culture, and that would be the market.

I love it! I'm fairly certain that it was revealed at a show I was at, the Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals, the largest Mopar gathering on the planet. The announcer kept saying that a senior Mopar exec was going to reveal a "Mopar Challenger", but alas, I had to head home and it's a fairly long trip. I should've stayed.

That is a car I seriously want! I don't think that is a strong statement, I'd have no second thoughts picking the A/S/RS5 as THE most beautiful coupe built this century so far. I would pick the RS5 over the R8, and have usable trunk space, back seats, and a fair chunk of change left over as a bonus.

Thanks guys. I guess I'm more old fashioned; I still don't think it should inherit the "GS" moniker, but I've always wanted an Insignia, and the lighter weight would be a bonus. Didn't know it was the same turbo mill that was in the Sky/Solstice. If I remember correctly, those kits could get over 300hp. I think that would be an awefully high strung little engine, and though I know people have gotten over 700hp out of old Lancer Evo 4s, I think a larger displacement engine could achieve the same numbers while being more reliable and streetable.

The current car isn't a looker, but I hope Castriota doesn't pen anything like the horrid Mantide. So now we're talking about 270mph road cars. I never really thought anyone would top McLaren's 240mph. SSC should just set the goal at 300mph and be done with it. The Bug will always have more class and provenance, but 300mph would be an enormous publicity coup. Given the choice, I'd still take a Mac F1 over any of them.

That could be very nice! However, still no one has explained why we get the 255hp 4 as our "top of the range", when the OPC/VXR version has a glorious turbo V6 with over 320hp? What gives? Does it not meet US emmission standards, or is Buick going to do a "GSX" positioned above the GS like in 1970?

If it achieves the performance they claim, it'll be as impressive today as the 427 was in 1966. I have to say, when I first saw the ad in DuPont Registry, I thought, "Oh, another ambitious hypercar that'll never see the light of day". What's with the name, though? Is it by a company called Iconic Motors, or is it by AC, the British company that's been building "continuation" cars for the last few decades? And if it's AC, how is it "All American", as the article says?

Sounds like Ford may have another winner on their hands. Hopefully it won't be more expensive than the current model. I'm hoping the new Focus will get this engine as well. Also waiting for a quad cam, direct injected, turbo V8 EcoBoost to comprehensively blow every other musclecar out of the water.
