I'm actually surprised by this, especially with a hybrid-based Acura NSX coming to dealerships within the next few years. Infiniti could've easily had a dead-even competition to be the first few super-car hybrids. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Silly decision on Nissan's part to not bring this to production. Unless it's because of financials, this probably would've been a knock-out.

I really believe the main competitor will be the Sonata, Altima and Camry Hybrids. Comparing this to the Prius and the Leaf isn't really fair. The Prius and Leaf are solely-designed hybrids. The Accord is a family-sedan with hybrid internals. I'm not making any predictions on sales because the last Accord hybrid flopped, when it probably should've sold decently.
The styling is there, and so is the technology. People is crowded freeways/highways such as LA and NYC/NJ will find this hybrid a useful commuter tool. I'm an Accord owner, so I also lean more toward Honda/Acura products than others.

Whoa...this is some serious action against GM. I hope Spyker has some legitimate ground to stand on for this. I'd love to see GM forced to hand-over some cash to Spyker over their horrendous treatment of Saab and eventual bankruptcy.

Oh dear...does anyone else see a Ford Freestyle (aka Taurus X) in the styling? #ruggednomore

It looks like we're going to be stuck with the pendulum/guillotine grille for some time to come. The performance looks immense which is great, especially going against the likes of BMW, Audi, M-B. I think the current MDX is still a head-turner. Sadly, the design language didn't quite cross over well to the TL, and bombed completely with the current RL. I'm loving the new RDX and ILX with its simplistic styling and tech-packed cabins. I'm sure the RLX will be pretty remarkable with its hybrid power-train.
My biggest fear for Acura are their attempts to fit into a niche. Are they trying to be luxury, sport, or green? I think they're hoping for all three, which might be tough to obtain.
So far, so good Acura. Keep it up!

What a horrible way to decimate a beautiful car...

What I'm interested in finding out is what is going to happen to the lot of brand-new Saabs stuck on a barge in New Jersey. From previous photographs, it looks to be filled with New 9-3 and 9-5 sedans waiting acquisition from a dealer or holder. All the Saab dealers have disappeared, so I'm guessing they will be heading back to Sweden to be auctioned off? Such a sad story.

I find this fascinating. So, in essence, the car can adapt to how you're feeling. If you're sad, the car will become a soothing environment and keep you alert if it senses you're not concentrating. I bet it you're angry, it limits the speed you can drive to help stave off road-rage. I think this is so great!

At first glance, I believed this was a Mercedes. From the side glance, it resembles the Audi Q5. I'm becoming more and more impressed with Hyundai. Bravo!

Looks gorgeous, and will probably perform beautifully. Build it, Infiniti. I agree that this will surely compete directly with the NSX, and perhaps even some upcoming Tesla and Fisker models. Nice job!
