I heard it was going to be on the same platform as the Equinox and its platform mates.

yes, it will be based on the Theta platform. all this is is a rebadged Saturn Vue. Buick looks to of given a home to the Vue since it wasn't apart of the Saturn buyout.

^That is the hyrbid one. This one will be based off the Aveo.

no, it won't. as said above, its a rebadged Saturn Vue, which is the Theta platform.

What is that pic from? Looks like a screenshot from a video or computer game. Didn't Lamborghini already race the Murc in GT1 as the R-GT? I remember seeing it in European Car back in 2003 or '04.

yes, they did. but if you would of read the article, it talks about how this is a more powerful and much better than the R-GT.

I'm sorry how is the car suitable for F1?

um you MIGHT wanna reread that. it doesn't say F1, it says FIA.

Well that was even quicker turnaround then the constant waffling about the Z28 Camaro

except the fact that the Camaro Z/28 will be produced. it was confirmed by GM officials at a Camaro event.

Wow, China got this Buick Regal ( Opel/Vauxhall Insignia ) while we're stuck with inferior Chevrolet/Holden Cruze over here in Oz.

thats because it would be too expensive to import the Vauxhall compared to the cheap as chips Daewoo made Cruze.
rubbish car that it is. Holden should be concentrating on making the Commodore smaller.

um just because the last Cruze was built by Daewoo, doesn't mean the new one is. the Daewoo factory isn't tooled for building Delta II platform cars.

Fantastic rear view (follow the link above) but unfortunately they'll be those that comment on what it looks like rather the fact that its a stand alone design and a huge step forward in the evolution of the XJ model line!!!

it does look quite bit like an XF, although it does kind of handle the lines a bit better than the XF.

i've always been a fan of the XJ, including the previous XJR. the only problem i see with the new supercharged 510hp 5L is that its not a step up to its competitors, the F01 760i and upcoming revised S8 with the supposed 580hp twin turbo 5L V10.

really cool to see that they're using full WRC-spec rally cars instead of the stripped down rally versions of the road cars.

i just don't get how you can race for one manufacturer, then go off and race another manufacturer in a totally different series. Tanner drives a tC in Formula D and is going to drive this in the X-Games.

Batteries don't explode, they burn if they overheat.

I find it odd that people have now problem carrying around 10 to 20 gallons of highly flammable liquid (gasoline) but get freaked out about batteries.

actually, batteries do explode. in my experience being a technician for Ford, GM, and Toyota, i have seen my share of exploding batteries. i have seen fellow technicians goto the hospital for 2nd degree burns to their face from hot battery acid after a battery has exploded in their face.
