Just spoke with my local garage. My right front axle bearing is shot, apparently in conjunction with the condition described in this story. Anyone have a link to the actual NHTSA report on this condition? As the car is past 100K, I'm not sure I'll be able to get any $ reimbursed, but it's worth a shot, as it's going to cost me about $300 or so to repair.
