Far as I'm concerned the engine in the rear gives these cars character and individuality that no other car manufacturer has.
The fact that Porsche has more racing wins than any other manufacturer just proves how solid their platforms are. And that a truly skilled driver can do amazing things even with a rear mounted engine.

So you're going to tune a production car to beat another production cars lap time? That's the kind of logic I'd expect from a little kid addicted to Need for Speed. Seriously, anyone can tune any production sports car and beat another one's lap time, in the end it means absolutely nothing.

These cars are really heavy but they are luxury cars after all. A Mercedes isn't a Mercedes without all the technology and pampering. They could try making those systems lightweight, like the audio system in the McLaren F1. Kenwood made it weigh less than 19 pounds whereas other stereo companies were saying 36 pounds. If Mercedes can find ways to trim weight like that they can make much lighter cars without compromising luxury.

The paint may be better but what person with the money to buy a Lexus cross-shops with a Ford? I'd imagine not many. More likely they'd be cross-shopping with Mercedes-Benz, BMW, or Audi.
I doubt Ford is even trying to steal Lexus sales. More likely people considering GM or Chrysler products, who when they see that Ford quality can stand up to real luxury marques they'll buy the Ford instead.
People with Lexus money are going to buy an expensive car (though not necessarily a Lexus), no matter what is said in a commercial.

I was thinking the same thing. Besides there being no need for this I don't want to be driving beside someone using this feature instead of paying attention to the road.

World ain't fair. Frankly I'm happy to hear any news that means I still have a chance to get a V8 in the future.

I like how Gemballa does Carrera GT's. They don't bastardize the styling like Mansory does to almost everything they touch.

Wow, never thought I'd see him return to racing. Though I guess Ferrari would be desperate to start winning again.
Holy Crap!!! I never expected this! Back for more? Oh boy. Like the frickin' Lance Armstrong of F1. Well, let's see if he can turn around Ferrari's current string of bad luck. I wonder if that means he won't be the Stig?(If that was even the case, which I doubt).
Nope, he isn't actually the Stig. He was only there to drive the FXX because Ferrari no doubt wanted to give it the best possible chance of smoking the lap time. Which it did, a lot more than I was expecting.

I have to admit it does look pretty nice with the British police livery.
