As much as I admire Hyundai's efforts to move upscale and genuinely like the new Genesis and Equus, as they both look the part and Genesis reviews are very positive, I still find myself hesitating before considering to buy a Hyundai. I wish I wouldn't. I guess I'm image conscious, but these days, and especially in the upscale market, who isn't?

Many beautiful design elements, but the angled lower character line emphasized by a chrome strip makes it look unbalanced/front-heavy/ready to topple over from any angle other than the profile...
That chrome strip really should have been horizontal; the car would've looked more grounded.

The third window is fussy and very un-Mercedes like.

Nonetheless, it looks quite good and I would love to see one with a "classic" grille à la CE-class of yore.
