I still really dislike this car. The interior bugs me the most. There are so many conflicting clichés: the square dials, round climate knobs, rectangular auxiliary gauges, circular recessed steering wheel hub -- the list goes on and on. The only cohesion comes from an attempt to be retro cool, but in the end it's just a dog's breakfast as the English might say.
As for the safety thread, yes, very surprising to see such a result in an age of sophisticated computer simulation. While it may not make a huge impact (no pun intended) on sales, it certainly doesn't move GM in the right direction.

Wish I could by a '10 TSX with this grille instead of the guillotine-style Acura one.

Personally, I'd rather see more manufacturers support WRC. Now, that's what I call racing. No other series offers such a wide variety of racing venus, surfaces and conditions. Shame Subaru and others backed off.

Well said, Roy. I too have refused this car as a rental. What may have started as a somewhat whimsical car now just looks like a sad old joke. I know Chrysler needs to push old metal until the new Fuars arrive, bur are they really this desperate?

New one drives well as a 4-cyl, except for numb steering on center, but I still like the look of my '04 better.

The Aviator was just a chromed Explorer. If Ford is serious about Mercury and Lincoln, they need to create distinct cars off common platforms, not more Explorer/Mountaineer/Aviator and Fusion/Milan/MKZ triplets.

I sat in a new A4 today; very nice! Only problem is that dealers apparently get very few manual transmission cars (FWD or Quattro), so if that's what you want, be ready to order one and wait a few months. Still, very tempting...

Well, the base 3.2 may have "only" 235 hp and 236 lb ft of torque, but the T6 AWD version has 281 hp and 295 lb ft. Yes, Volvos tend to be heavy (the XC60 tops 4,000 lbs), but I'm not sure how many potential Volvo buyers really crave 300+ hp, though it's a fun thought.
Personally, I think the best bet for Volvo and Saab is not to take BMW and M-B head on, but stay half a step below them and trade on their core brand attributes of safety, Scandinavian design, etc.

Yet more proof of why many F1 fans are abandoning the sport in droves. These antics by Mosley and perhaps others reminds us that F1 today cares least about those who have cared the most.
