Well, you'd have to lean REALLY far over (i.e. there's about a 90-degree angle between the viewable sides - so far that driving would be difficult or impossible), and the screen doesn't occupy the driver's hands.
Those are the two major differences, I'd say.
I agree -
However my point is that while the former and far less likely and therefore less dangerous scenario is currently deemed "Illegal", the latter, easier, and far more dangerous scenario which recurs on a daily basis is not.

So what's the difference between having a screen in the car that prevents the driver from seeing a movie unless he leans over to the passenger side...
...and holding a smartphone in his hand while driving and texting/watching YouTube videos?

Don?t you think it could be the new 2011 BMW 6-Series???
Nope - Proportionally, it's the wrong size and shape. In addition, there appear to be a pair of rear doors that I'd missed seeing before: There's a cutline along the sill aft of the driver's door to the rear wheelwell that's hard to see but shows in the 4th and 3rd to last of the Autocar pix, so as NND states it could be a 3-Series 4-door coupe/sedan or "GT" (Tough to tell w/ the plastic bag billowing over the rear glass & deck)
As for BMW's statement that it's a 5 year old styling exercise - I don't buy that story for a moment. The massive sharknose grille and heavy sills are clearly derived from the 2007 CS Concept, the taillamp shape derives from the current Z4 and the heavy-browed slit headlamp housings are something we've not seen from BMW before but are showing up in renderings for the new 3 Series.
Since BMW do radical changes to the 3 Series every other model cycle - it's even more likely that this is a styling exercise for the 2011/12 3 Series.

Would you mind pointing out differences between this photo and a current Vue, minus the obvious absence of faux side vents?
My bad - I was thinking of the old Vue...

That is surprising, given the long nose of this car. Ususally with this much "crush space" designers can soften the blow.
The old F-bodies had enourmously long plastic snouts - and they didn't do so hot either as I recall...

Is it too much to hope that when Ford refreshes the Lincoln lineup that they'll replace the forgettable MK(blank) nomenclature with real names?

"Looks like they borrow a whole lot from the Pontiac G-6 coupe."
Yes, I see that....
...like those tires and the fact that they used steel for the body - MUST be from the G6!

No, the Prius was developed as an image car, the people who buy want to look like they care about the enviroment, it is all about image.
Really?
In the same way that the Camaro was developed for image?
At least a Prius has usable interior space, decent visability, good build quality and gets reasonable mileage...
(I wouldn't own one, but I do enjoy riding in Prius taxis more than I do Crown Victorias)

I was sitting in a Camaro in a dealership a few days ago and with the size of the windows and ability to see out almost guarantees an accident eventually. You would think GM would try to rectify that before launch.
Most folks who buy Camaros don't give a rip about safety or even build quality - they just want cheap thrills (accelleration) and the image that they're somehow sexier than the guy/gal in the next car.
