Too bad they're not Citroëns and Peugeots. It would be nice to see the C5 and C6 in the US.

What Acura needs urgently is beautiful cars, because the last ones are forgettable at best.

To the best of my knowledge, Mr. Lutz did a good job in Chrysler and then in GM. Anyway, nobody could have fixed the old GM. Too many brands, too many fronts, too many bad habits.

It probably won't sell well, either. A refined diesel engine would do a much better job. But the problem with diesels is that famous people are not driving them, so they are not fashionable enough. That is probably one of the reasons why car makers like GM are betting on the more expensive and maybe less efficient hybrid technology, instead of bringing to the US the already proven diesel technology.

Toyota is the antithesis of Aston Martin, so they should had better chosen an European car as a basis for this, ehem, "PR stunt". A Mini or any other European supermini would have been a better choice.

Cars like this represent the future of efficient motoring, at least short-term.
