And of course, as always, America is deprived of any fast wagons.

The difference is, 50 years ago Buick made cool cars with bold styling and powerful V8s.

Hmm, so yet another "coupe-sedan". At this rate it seems the traditional sedan is going to be extinct. Seems like it might look good, though.

All-right Mr. Toyoda! Leave it to the grandson of original founder to inject some much needed enthusiasm into a currently boring, dispassionate company. It's up to you, Mr. Toyoda, to keep Toyota MoCo from becoming another Honda.

Hasn't Mazda produced speedster concepts in the past? I'd love for them to put this into production. Maybe as a trackday special. Those of you in the UK are blessed with Ariels, X-Bows, Ginettas, Caterhams, etc, but there isn't as much of a choice here in the US. I'd love to be able to go to my local Mazda dealership and buy a light, nimble trackday weapon that's also reasonably affordable (unlike an Atom or Radical).

They should use Steve Urkel as marketing spokesman. Seriously, though, I wouldn't mind seeing a retro-futuristically styled "New Isetta".

It's funny that we've come to a point in history when our street cars are so advanced, that a production ZR-1 has nearly 150 more horsepower than the race car.

I just hope it doesn't look too different from the current 159. That's the Alfa styling I love, that's the Alfa car I want, not some badge-engineered Chrysler 300.

I'd rather have this than virtually any other open top car on the road or upcoming, certainly more than LP560-4, R8 roadster, or 911 cab. I actually like that "raspberry" colour in the top pic, and make mine an automatic. Yes, I know, that's not very "enthusiast" of me, but let's face it-- the Volante is not under any pretense that it's a sports car, it is, in fact, the ultimate drop-head grand tourer.
