For those that comment on using similar design cues across all their range as a bad thing...I'm sorry, but the Concept CS design cues were the future direction for BMW.
It's not like Audi and Mercedes-Benz don't use very similar design cues. If I'm not mistaken? Nearly all Audi's look identical...they all have that extended grill that covers 1/2 of the entire front of the car. And Mercedes-Benz? Steam-engine like grills and the new E-class has more edgy lights like the SL. The upcoming SLK will have similar lights to the E-class too!

If you people honestly think this is a good looking car, especially the front...
*facepalm*
Old S-class, A8 or F01 7 series please.

It's perfectly fine for BMW to leave Formula 1. It is a very wise move indeed. Sure it may seem like a 'wuss' move, but its all in the interests of trying to retain financial stability as much as they can, especially in a time of economic instability.
I doubt that they're quitting F1 entirely on the fact that their performance is not up to scratch. BMW Sauber F1 only came in 2006. Over 2-3 year is managed to rank very highly right up to 2nd, 3rd and in 2008; they were even in the spotlight to claim Constructor championship.
It won't be long before other teams follow, F1 has just become so political, money-hungry and people; especially those in Europe are losing interest in it. There are better races in the FIA, why stay with F1. BMW should concentrate on other FIA races. They're new M3 GT2 is slaughtering and claiming heaps of championships. Some of us may think BMW is rather crap when it comes to Motorsport racing; but actually take the time for yourself and look up all the FIA races BMW has competed in...it has been absolutely, insanely successful with the E30 320i, E46 M3 GTR and E92 M3 GT2.
I think BMW should give a shot at the DTM against Opel and Mercedes-Benz. If BMW production cars can claim faster track times on the Nurburgring and Top Gear's infamous Power Track even against a CLK DTM, 63 AMG Black Series; why not give it a shot at DTM?

I'd take the new Z4 in black anyday. This seriously looks the same as an SL, just a little thicker body and less aggressive lines. Almost very similar headlights...

What Mercedes-Benz AMG needs to do to be real sports cars, is get a Manual transmission. :)

Looks plain...is it just me? Or does the front almost look as identical, in a way, to the new E-class coupe..just a little different headlights.

Put the tt-six in it and there would be no reason to buy an M3 or Z4.
Errr, don't compare a TT to a M3. please. seriously...
RS4 tried that, so did the C63AMG. And they have failed. What makes you think you can compare a TT to an M3 in terms of being credible for purchase?
Sure its cheaper, and is just as nice; but don't compare it to anything else XD

Despite much debate, the new ML-class will not be, IMO, as good looking as the X5M and X6M from BMW. I'm sorry, but despite the stupid choice BMW has made with X5 and X6, we can't ignorantly say that they are not nice looking cars.
