My interest in EVs grew out of a concern for our national security. I was fascinated by classes in national security at my alma mater, Miami University of Ohio. We studied traditional military security, but also food security, natural resource security, and energy security. The national security implications of how we power our cars first attracted me to EVs, but the innovation and next-generation technology that is just around the bend has brought out the former high school chess club president in me and I'm now a full-on EV geek.
